Hotels, motels, holiday parks and rentals each set their own pet conditions. Confirm the written policy for your dates before you pay.
Finding the right stay
Start with a pets-allowed search, then read that property’s own policy. Confirm size, breed, number of pets, fees, deposits, and whether a pet may be left unattended. Call reception before you pay, and read recent pet-owner reviews. To search and reserve, book your stay on Booking.com. Fur & Far does not operate Booking.com or copy their listings.
Ask the specific questions
Check fees, bond, size or breed limits, permitted rooms, outdoor areas, and whether pets may be left unattended. “Pet friendly” is not a standard set of rules.
Arrive with a plan
Bring a carrier or crate, waste bags, a towel for sandy or wet paws, and a familiar bed. Keep food sealed and ask where pets should be during housekeeping.
Be a considerate guest
Use a lead in shared spaces, prevent barking where you can, and never leave a pet on a balcony or unattended in a parked car. Protect furniture if the property asks you to.
Check-in and check-out
Walk the room for hazards, escape routes and cleaning products. Before you leave, inspect for hair, waste and forgotten leads or bowls.
If plans change
