Size and fit guide
A secure, comfortable fit is essential. Always compare your pet’s measurements with the measurements shown on the individual product page.
How to measure
- Neck: Measure around the base of the neck where a collar naturally sits. Allow enough room for comfort.
- Chest: Measure the widest part of the ribcage, usually just behind the front legs.
- Back: Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail while your pet is standing naturally.
- Weight: Use a recent, accurate weight and never rely on breed alone.
Harnesses, collars and apparel
Use the product-specific chart because sizing can vary between manufacturers. If your pet falls between sizes, consider their body shape, coat and intended use. Adjustable points should sit securely without restricting breathing or movement.
Carriers and crates
Check the product’s internal dimensions, not only the external dimensions. Your pet should be able to stand naturally, turn around and lie down comfortably. Airline requirements vary, so confirm the current rules directly with your airline before purchasing or travelling.
Beds and travel mats
Measure your pet in their normal sleeping position and allow additional room around the body. Consider whether they curl up, stretch out or share the space.
